In these uncertain times with Covid 19, caregivers are faced with a big dilemma. Most caregivers that support the elderly in our community are working multiple jobs to make ends meet. With safety being the top priority, caregivers are now being asked to choose to only work for one employer. This has a resounding effect on the healthcare system since most long term care facilities as well as home support agencies prefer to hire caregivers on a part time basis in order to avoid the costs incurred by employing full time workers ie., extended healthcare benefits etc.
In order to mitigate the further spread of Covid 19, Simplified HomeCare encourages caregivers to work for only one employer. This also means that Simplified HomeCare also asks employers to offer full time positions in order to discourage workers from seeking additional work.
